Gaza field hospital with Abed

The last 6 months have been the hardest moments of our lives for me and for many of you. Since I survived the war in Gaza, my life is not what it was before. The events and the grief plague me every day.

Before the war, my biggest hobby was cycling and I had made up my mind to visit my homeland by bike one day. Even before the war, I had set my sights on 2024.

But under the current circumstances, I had to rethink everything and I was on the verge of not going on the trip.

However, I decided to go for two main reasons. My time in Gaza taught me that despair and sadness can only be countered by action and optimism.

can only be countered by action and optimism. With the bike trip, I want to live and internalize this principle, even if my thoughts are in Gaza every moment.

Furthermore, my great motivation is to support my fellow human beings in Gaza. Accordingly, I have decided to build a field hospital in Gaza together with Swiss Barakah and Barakah Charity Germany.

This is a project close to my heart.

After experiencing the situation in the hospitals myself, I realized how important it is to give people the opportunity to be treated with dignity and respect. Given the destruction of most of the health infrastructure in Gaza and the disabling of hospitals, alternatives are needed more than ever to save lives and provide an alternative for destitute people.

The importance of this project cannot be overstated. Any support, be it through donations, volunteering or sharing our project, can make a difference.

Project description Barakah Charity:

Every day, the people of Gaza face countless challenges, exacerbated by the lack of adequate medical infrastructure. Our field hospital is more than just a medical facility; it is a symbol of hope and solidarity. By providing much-needed medical assistance, from emergency treatment to long-term care, we aim not only to save lives but also to help restore human dignity.

The importance of this project cannot be overstated. Any support, whether through donations, volunteering or sharing our mission, can make a difference. Your help enables us to procure medical equipment and medicines, hire experienced medical professionals and ultimately reach more people in need.
