Emergency South Asia
South Asia is a region of incredible diversity, from the majestic landscapes of the Himalayas to the sun-drenched beaches of the Indian Ocean. But this natural beauty masks many complex humanitarian challenges that affect millions of people in the region.
Unfortunately, a large part of the population in the region lives in poverty and has limited access to essential needs such as food, clean drinking water and health care. Food insecurity is a major concern as many people suffer from hunger and malnutrition.
For this reason, we distribute rice in India and Sri Lanka to ensure the basis of their nutrition.
In Sri Lanka, we have established our Barakah Academy. There, widowed women have the opportunity to attend courses in sewing, English and computer science to learn a trade that will enable them to earn an income and improve their situation in the long term.
Through joint efforts it is possible to improve the quality of life of these needy people and give them hope!
With your donation, we can immediately support such projects, among others.
We refer to the provisions of our donation regulations.
