5 wells for 5 schools in Tanzania
Drought is not a new phenomenon in Tanzania, but its frequency has increased over the years due to global climate changes.
Access to clean water, a basic human right, is now considered a luxury in Tanzania, where women and children have to walk about 5 km in search of a water source. Unfortunately, the water obtained is not clean and safe for human consumption, resulting in water-borne diseases for the people who drink it.
Swiss Barakah Charity is committed to assisting these drought-affected communities through the installation of 5 water wells in 5 schools in the country.
The cost of each well is CHF 3500.
We chose primary schools as the best eligible beneficiaries for this project, where children (no longer forced to travel miles in search of water) can get a proper education that will help them reduce the outbreak of water-borne diseases by learning better and more effective hygiene practices.
Answer the call for help from these communities, every contribution counts!
With your donation, we can support such campaigns, among others.
We refer to the provisions of our donation regulations.
The Prophet (PBUH) once narrated: “The best form of charity is to give someone water.”
