A significant number of people around the world lack basic access to safe drinking water, which is a major concern. The most vulnerable populations live mainly in the poorest regions, especially in rural areas.
According to a recent study, 11% of the world’s population live in regions with unsafe access to water, including 450 million children. We are committed to expanding access to clean drinking water for as many people as possible.

Working with local partners, the Swiss Barakah Charity has the capacity to fund the construction of wells in Cameroon. These wells provide a village and its surroundings with reliable access to clean drinking water.
