On the streets of Manaus, Brazil, many children grow up without safety, guidance, or opportunities. But there is a place where they can step onto the mat, leave their worries behind, and discover their strength: the Social Jiu-Jitsu Project.
Here, more than 80 children and teenagers (ages 5–17) find more than just a sport. They discover discipline, respect, and a safe community that believes in them.
Jiu-Jitsu is more than fighting techniques – it’s a way of life. It teaches kids how to fall and rise again, how to respect others, and how to believe in themselves. In a city where too many young lives are at risk of violence and despair, this project gives them hope, stability, and a brighter future.
Free Jiu-Jitsu classes three times a week – a regular rhythm and a safe space.
Extra sessions with technical training, physical preparation, and group discussions.
Nutritious snacks after training – because care doesn’t stop when class is over.
A community of belonging – where every child is seen, valued, and encouraged.
80 young lives touched every week.
Less time on the streets, less exposure to violence.
More confidence, self-discipline, and hope.
New opportunities – from local competitions to being part of something bigger than themselves.
This project shows these children that they are not forgotten. That they are strong. That they matter.
Every smile, every moment of courage, every step forward on the mat is possible because of people like you. With your support, we can keep these doors open, provide training and snacks, and expand the reach of this life-changing project.
Together, we can turn struggle into strength, and give these kids the future they deserve.
